Bernie Ho After the two early bust outs, play has tightened up with players' raises not getting any action. Through the humdrum, we did catch Bernie Ho in two pots.
In the first one, he called Tan Gay Peng's small blind min raise on his big blind. The flop ran

which both players checked. On the turn, of
, Peng dropped in 42K and Ho smooth called. On the river of
, Peng didn't waste time to count out a bet and just moved all in for 244K. Ho tick-tocked and eventually folded. Peng grabbed a pot of just under 90K.
In another hand, Ho min raised from mid position and got called by the big blind defender Bjoern Wiesler. At the flop of

, Wiesler check-called Ho's bet of 55K. However, at the turn card of
, Wiesler couldn't muster up to Ho's 108K bet. With that small win, Ho gained back some of the chips lost from Peng
Bjoern Wiesler With action folding all the way to the button, Samad Razavi raised it up to 28K on Bjoern Wiesler's big blind. After the small blind folded, Wiesler announced he was all in and told his opponent he hadn't looked at his cards. Tan Gay Peng Samad Razavi may have doubled up a few hands ago, however, in a recent showdown, he ended up passing those winnings to Tan Gay Peng.
From the hijack position, Razavi raised preflop to 35K. Re-popping it to an all in of another 214K, Peng kept his cool behind his dark shades as Razavi tried to induce a bit of chatter. With no reaction coming from Peng, Razavi decided to make the call and saw Peng flip over
which was sorely behind his
. It got better for Peng when the flop ran

giving him a set and with the turn
and river
, Peng doubles up to around 450K.
Samad Razavi Chip leader Tan Tai Zheng may have picked up the blinds and antes of the first two hands, however, on the third hand, the situation dramatically changed.
Having raised to 20K from the button, Samad Razavi reraised Zheng's bet all in for an additional 307K chips. With his monster stack Zheng could easily make the call but, before he did, he asked Razavi if he wanted a call. Razavi replied, "I'd like to double up" then chuckled. Zheng obliged him with a call and opened up
while Razavi showed
.
With blanks running the board

, Razavi was in the clear until the turn of
which gave the chip leader additional outs for his open ended straight draw. But with the river of
, Razavi stormed off rejoicing "Yeah baby! The game is on! Yeah!" And returned to his seat to scoop up his chips amounting to 390K.
Tan Tai Zheng The final table of the APT Asian Series Cebu Main Event is all set and out of the 10 players who will be returning tomorrow, only the chip leader, Tan Tai Zheng, surpassed the 7-digit chip mark with a massive 1,005,000 chips in his artillery. Next in line is Bernie Ho with 885,000 chips, while the rest of the pack lurks far behind with not a single Filipino still in the running for the title.
Starting off the day and clearly taking front stage was the early afternoon earthquake and multiple tremors that followed in Cebu giving everyone a bit of a scare. But even with the floors literally rocking and a 15-minute "tsunami break", it was business as usual for those in the All In Poker Room.
With players falling and tables breaking down throughout the floor, chip leaders were emerging at almost every table. Wang Dong was commanding one of the tables, giving Czardy Rivera and Jojo Tech a difficult time building their stacks. Bernie Ho was also racking up towers, along with Goh Hanruo.
After seven hours of play, the bubble finally burst with Edwin De Jong moving all in with
that was called by Teo Shi Wei with
. The board ran

giving Wei the higher pair. With the remaining 27 players in the money, it was of no surprise that short stacks were shoving much more frequently. Some of those who railed during this level of play were Brian Lovett, Abhishek Goindi, Kim Min Soo, Wyngard Brillo and Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang.
By this time in the tournament, eventual chip leader Zheng was fluctuating between 100K-200K in chips. His first major double up happened in a hand against Bjoern Wiesler who repopped all in with a monster stack on Zheng’s minimum raise. Zheng said he was banking on the aggressive Wiesler to protect his big blind with a shove and his read was on the money because Wiesler’s
ran straight into Zheng’s
, which catapulted his stack to almost 300,000 chips. From then on, Zheng did away with the brakes.
With the final table just several eliminations away, Zheng helped speed it up by knocking out Seo Jeong Won and Michael De Leon simultaneously. With
Zheng took out Won's
and De Leon's
on a board of

. Zheng took down the massive pot and jumped to over 700,000 chips, while De Leon's exit ensured the title would be going to another foreigner this year.
Bernie Ho also took a late night stand by eliminating Mark Bastinen with a well-played flush. During the hand, Ho called Bastinen’s raise of 42,000 to see a flop of

. Bastinen then slid out 45,000, which Ho immediately check-called. With the
on the turn, Ho decided it was his turn to bet and led out for 99,000. Without a breath, Bastinen announced all in and was snap-called. On the river
, Ho cracked Bastinen’s
with his
flush. Following that win, Ho took out Choi Young Su with
over Su’s
to end the night.
The chip counts leading into the final table are:
1. Tan Tai Zheng (Singapore) 1,005,000
2. Bernie Ho (Singapore) 885,000
3. Miika Viholainen (Finland) 386,000
