First Ever APT Asian Series Underway in Cebu

The first event of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) this year kicks off today with the opening day of the APT Asian Series Cebu at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines.

From January 10 to 18, 2011, the newest poker series in Asia is expected to draw both local and international players with an eight-day schedule that includes seven side events and seven satellite events as well as the Main Event with a buy-in of PHP 50,000.

One of the side events which has drawing much attention is the Cebu Open. Running for five consecutive years now, this side event with a buy-in of PHP5,500 offers a guaranteed prize pool of PHP 1 million.  Other side events include the PKR Headhunter, Greed and High Rollers among others.
