Gear up for more LWPS action
Malaysian and Singaporean poker players are once again set for action as the Leisure World Poker Series returns for another season. Coming this May 21-22, players will board the luxury cruise liner MV Leisure World for two days of poker action on the high seas in the LWPS VII tournament. Last season’s six events resulted in almost SGD $300,000 in prize money given away and this year’s events promise to be just as successful.
Within the Treasure Cove poker room, players who board on May 21 will be able to compete in four separate events, including the SGD $250 Main Event that features a 7500 starting stack. The other events are made up of a PokerStars Freeroll (SGD $0+$20 buy-in) event with three Main Event Seats guaranteed, a Macau Cup Satellite (SGD $260 buy-in) with one seat guaranteed and The Corona Extra Rebuy (SGD $120 buy-in).
While this will be the first leg of the second season of the LWPS, a schedule of all the other events for the year has also been released. Players can now plan their poker calendars around each of the five follow-up events: LWPS VIII (June 18-19); LWPS IX (July 24-25); LWPS X (September 24-25); LWPS XI (October 22-23) and culminating in the Grand Finale on November 18-20, 2011. The top 15 players on the LWPS Season 2 leaderboard will automatically get entry into the SGD $600 Bounty Shootout finale.
For information on how to get to get yourself there for the first event and more details on the series, you can head to the LWPS official webpage.
