Day 1B of the Cebu Open marked a record number of players hitting the tables at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu, Philippines for the kick-off event of the APT Asian Series Cebu. With 214 poker players and 16 re-entries, it smashed the closest previous record of 169 players over the tournament’s five year history.
“I’m absolutely delighted with the level of turnout for this great opening event of the APT Asian Series Cebu,” said Antonio So, Chief Executive Officer of the All In Poker Room and the host of the event. “We couldn’t expect a better start to the tournament and I’m looking forward to the follow-up events, which I’m sure will be equally as successful.”
The APT Asian Series PHP 50,000 Main Event starts Thursday January 13.
