Sam Trickett Attacked After Winning $10m in WSOP One Drop

Sam Trickett after the alleged attackSam Trickett after the alleged attack

Sam Trickett was allegedly attacked on Wednesday morning after celebrating his runner-up finish in the Big One for One Drop tournament. According to both Trickett’s and his girlfriend Natasha Sandhu’s Twitter accounts, the pair were leaving a club when Trickett was set upon and beaten by six men who also spat in Sandhu’s face.

Trickett tweeted a link to the above photo, saying, “Was having a great day until 6 guys did this to me. Seriously Wtf? Couldn’t be more angry… #cowards”. He followed it up with another tweet, “Is this what happens if ur successful? literally beat the shit out of me and spat in @NatashaSandhu face all over nothing…”

Sandhu added, “It wasn’t a mugging or anything just over nothing, sam is fine. gonna spend some quality time together now”.

Trickett won an astronomical USD $10,112,001 in prize money when he came second in Tuesday’s historic USD $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari won the event for a record USD $18,346,673 in prize money.

But the altercation appears not to have dampened the mood of Trickett and Sandhu too much. “Been a long day… Back to celebrating tomorrow! Night all…” tweeted Sandhu just moments ago.
