Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of the Year front-runner Dan Smith is on a roll. Not that it’s a surprise of course because Mr. Smith has been on a torrid run pretty much the entire 2012 thus far.
Last Sunday, “King” Dan ruled the PokerStars Sunday Million last October 20, 2012 to earn roughly $220,000. Not the biggest of his wins but still impressive because he has continued his winning ways and there are no signs that his play will falter in the final two months of 2012.
Danny98765 on PokerStars, Smith has had six wins on the live scene this year and has earned over $3.7M from January to October of 2012. Before the Sunday Million victory when he outdid more than 7,000 players, Smith already has a few notable and impressive finishes— including one High Roller event at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona where he earned roughly $1.18M and at the 2012 Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge where he earned over $1.06M.
