There’s no question that poker in the Philippines is booming. At any time of the day you can find a poker table with surroundings and stake levels to your liking. Whether it’s playing cash games or trying your hand at regular tournaments, there’s something to suit every player out there.
Here at Poker Portal Asia we were interested in just which poker rooms have been the most successful in attracting the action? While we weren’t able to count the number of players going through the doors of each establishment, we could get an idea of their success through the amount of rake taken as reported to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
PAGCOR were kind enough to respond to our enquiry and provided us with their list of the top 10 poker rooms in the Philippines in terms of rakes for the first quarter (January to March) of this year. They are:
1. Metro Card Club – Ortigas
2. Resorts World Manila
3. Masters Poker Sports Club
4. Empire Poker Sports Club
5. Asia Poker Sports Club
6. All-In Poker Sports Club
7. Metro Card Club – Davao
8. Let’s All In Poker
9. Wild Aces Poker Sports Club
10. King’s Poker Room
With around 30 tables, it’s no surprise that the Metro Card Club heads the list but there is a couple in there that you might find interesting. For all their contact details you can visit our Poker Rooms directory. In addition, Poker Portal Asia will be reviewing the top five in this list in a story to come so stay tuned for more on the best places to play poker in the Philippines.
