Short stacked Thomas Ward took a stand early in the final table and shoved his remaining 285K chips on the small blind. Unfortunately for him, big blind player / chip leader Victor Chong looked down at K♣ K♠ and snap called. Ward was needing a lot of help from the board when he showed his 4♠ 6♠, but the board was not kind to him as it ran K♥ 10♦ A♠ 8♣ J♦, ending his run for the title at 8th place. Ward earned PhP385,000 for his finish.
Short stacked Jessie Leonarez certainly isn’t afraid to get his chips up against the big stacks. For the first good action at the final table, Leonarez raised to 36K from the hijack seat and from the big blind Soo Seung Jeon made the call. At the flop of 4♦ A♣ 9♦, Jeon checked to Leonarez who continued betting and banged out another 35K which Jeon once again called. On the turn of 6♣, Jeon repeated his checking as Leonarez repeated his betting and sent out another 35K chips which again, Jeon called. Then on the river of 8♣, Jeon took aggressive action and moved all in, and this time, in reverse, Leonarez called. Leonarez took down the pot and doubled up with his A♠ Q♦ against Jeon’s K♦ 7♦ mid pair.
The final table has just begun!! Blinds have been rolled back to Level 23.

Lin Zhi will not be returning to the final table of 8 players tomorrow as he just got railed by Soo Seung Jeon to end Day 2 of the Main Event. For the final hand of the night, Jeon raised to 55K from the lowjack seat and as action landed on Zhi on the small blind, he announced he was all in. Jeon made the call and when the cards were revealed, Zhi was ahead with J♣ J♦ over Jeon’s K♦ Q♥. The board was a bit dramatic as it ran 9♥ 8♣ 10♦ 9♣ and with the river landing a K♣, Zhi was ousted in 9th place and earned PhP314,000 for his finish.
Jav Medina may be quiet but he is creeping up slowly in the ranks. In a recent hand against Soo Seung Jeon, Medina raised to 60K on the button and was called by Jeon on the big blind. At the flop of 9♥ Q♥ 6♦, both players checked and watched as the turn landed a 3♣. Jeon then led out for 85K and Medina made the quick call. On the river of 4♦, Jeon led again and sent out 140K to which Medina responded with an all in announcement. After tanking for a short time, Jeon folded. Medina showed his J♣ J♠ while scooping up the pot. Medina is now up to 700K chips.
