Steicke Keeps Some Back

David SteickeDavid Steicke

Japan’s Yu Kurita opens for 18,000 from UTG+1 and action folds around to David Steicke in the big blind who three-bets to 48,000, Kurita four-bets to 118,000 and Steicke snap calls leaving just 14,000 behind to chuckles from the rest of the table.

The flop comes down 4 3 7 and strangely Stiecke checks leaving Kurita to put him all in for the last of his chips. Steicke does make the call and is in front, his J J leading Kurita’s A Q.

With no Ace or Queen making an unwelcome appearance on the turn and river Steicke scoops the pot to move up to 248,000 in chips while Kurita drops down to 155,000.
