Sunny Crashes and Burns

Sunny JungSunny Jung

Raiden Kan has just rained down vengeance on Sunny Jung after his previous loss with Kings against Jung’s Ladies. In two subsequent hands, Kan got the better of his Korean opponent and now we are down to seven players at this final table.

In the first hand, Kan hit a set of sevens holding 7 7 on a board of Q 9 J 3 7 and with already a decent pot brewing Kan was able to get paid with a 200,000 bomb on the river.

A few hands later, action was folded around to Kan in the small blind and he silently made the all in triangle hand signal to put the pressure on Jung in the big blind. The Korean tanked for while before making the call with 2 2 to be racing against Kan’s K 7.

The flop of Q Q J wasn’t the best for Jung who could now get counterfeited if the board paired again. The 3 turn seemed safe but when its 3 brother came on the river it was all over for Jung and he departs in 8th place for a HKD $152,700 payday.

Kan, meanwhile, has around 2.8 million in chips and is putting a stranglehold on this final table.
