Poker Portal Asia recently interviewed hot new player on the Asian circuit, Sangeeth “Samoh” Mohan, who won the APT Asian Series Goa Main Event and finished a respectable 10th place in the APPT Macau Main Event shortly after. Now Mohan has struck again by bagging first prize in two of the three events at the inaugural India Pros Poker Series (IPPS) Season 1 hosted at Casino Royale in Goa, India on December 15-18, 2011.

Mohan was the last man standing in the INR 25K Heads-Up event after he defeated YJ Kim in the final round. In the last hand of the match, Mohan pushed all in with 5 8 and Kim called with J K. Although Kim was ahead, the board ran 7 2 8 7 Q giving Mohan the win and INR 126,000 in prize money.

In the following event, the INR 10K Rebuy Tournament, Mohan outlasted 26 players to capture his back-to-back title. Ironically, it was him and YJ Kim battling it out once again for the championship. In the last hand of the tournament, Kim moved all in with 5 5 and Mohan called with K Q. The board was generous to Mohan as it ran Q Q 9 10 2 giving him trips and the INR 270,000 cash for first prize.
